Katapult Sports and Elecnor Foundation have joined forces to develop the “Arenas de Malawi” project. The project sprung following an extraordinary coincidence in our current globalized world. A picture in Twitter that travels around the world, joining Malawi and Getxo (Bilbao, Spain), connecting the dreams and hopes of two football teams.
Foundation Elecnor is the main partner of Arenas de Getxo, football club from Bilbao that currently competes in Spanish third division. Arenas de Getxo is one of the historic clubs from Spanish football, it was founded in 1909, it is one of the founding members of the Spanish League and won the Spanish Cup In 1919.
