LALIGA FC Pro closes a successful season with 38 clubs participating, increased online participants, an increase in the number of online spectators and high attendance at the on-site stops, and having distributed the largest prize pool in its history.
The November Supercup brought together in Barcelona the reigning champion and runner-up, and the Supercup and Cup champions. It was Andonii’s Atlético de Madrid that won the first title of the season in front of more than 4,000 people who attended the Ubeat Live event.
February saw the start of the Regular Season, with the novelty this year that it was played over only during two weekends, with the clubs divided into eight groups, competing for a place at the Cup and the Finals, in a 1v1 format.
In April, the competition moved to the Palacio de Congresos y Auditorio Kursaal in the city of San Sebastian for the LALIGA FC Pro Cup. The two-day event combined both competitive matches and different activities open to the public. The event, which was free of charge, brought together thousands of people, who enjoyed a meet & greet with DjMaRiiO, Cacho, two of the favorite personalities of the EA SPORTS FC 24 community. It was the Sevilla FC of Nicolas99, the Argentinean newcomer to the Spanish competition, who took home the title, in front of almost 4,000 people over the course of the weekend.
The season was brought to a close at the Stage Front Stadium, the home of RCD Espanyol, which hosted the Finals with over 2,400 people in attendance. The event brought together thousands of spectators who came to enjoy free activities throughout the day, such as the meet & greet with DjMaRiio, Cacho, RobertPG, and ex-footballer Joan Capdevilla, and who were thrilled from the stands of the stadium by the goals of their favorite club, and also enjoyed the musical performance of Argentine artist Lit Killah, minutes before the final match, in which Sevilla FC did the double by winning the title of season champion
The largest prize pool in the history of the competition
The total prize pool of €357,000 distributed €7,000 in the SuperCup, with €5,000 going to the winning team and €2,000 to the runner-up. During the April Cup, €100,000 was distributed, with €25,000 for the winner; €10,000 for the runner-up; €7,500 for third and fourth place; and up to 24th place all teams received prize money. For the final, €250,000 remained to be distributed, with €60,000 for the club that won the championship title; €40,000 for the runner-up; €20,000 for third and fourth place; and financial distribution up to 16th place.
